Sometimes you just have to accept that somethings in life are too big to overcome.

Then go sailing.....

I will get the energy up to go in a while. Just taking the tranquillo approach until a balance forms.

As one door closes another slams in your face.

Re: The Mallorca Squad

My buddy has a lovely Princess motor yacht.
I can see the attraction....
And the need for a huge income to run the thing...

Re: The Mallorca Squad

Sad news about Monte passing away.
Brings all our own problems into perspective.

Re: The Mallorca Squad

In Olbia riding around on my new Brompton folding circus bike.

Much warmer here than in the People's Republic of Massachusetts, 'gotta love this global warming that takes place once a year.

Some kinda fried meat festival taking place this weekend in town. Lots of small projects to begin, but right now catching up on severe jet lag and slowing down from working seven days per week.

I want to buy some of the salted pork, what kind would you recommend here in Italy? I'd like to buy the entire leg and have it on one of those racks where I can cut off what I want

Limited internet here, I hadn't read any of the posts prior to writing. Very sad news about Monte.

Prosciutto di Parma is the most common.. but try some of the local hams from Sardinia.. also Tuscan.. if you can get it..
Also its best hung.. with a small dish below to catch the dripping which adds flavour to any cooked dishes.

I hadn't read the thread about his passing when I read this post. Gary, this fellow in Andraitx, that wasn't Monte was it? Terrible either way, but someone we 'knew'.... would be awful.
