Re: SSSSM - Part Deux

CPAATSEA,
Yes, I bet there are a lot more of us here than we can imagine.
My short 20+ years active, and the 17 leading up to it, yes, mil dependant, was mostly living out of a suitcase. Active I was either deployed or changing stations. Never really spent more than 18 assigned to anywhere, and usually no more than a month without a school, FTX or deployment.
That makes for very itchy feet, basically a nomad at heart. Cruising will hopefully satisfy that very deep seated need.

Re: SSSSM - Part Deux

As long as SaltyMonkey is in the southlands he won't have a problem, but I wouldn't want to be going to the Chesapeake or New York.
I'm at a marina in NE Florida and it's not too bad, but I'm glad I made some heavy duty new fender boards.

I agree wholeheartedly! Can women be grumpy old farts? I think I'm a grumpy old wench.

First, big thanks for allowing me to join this group!

Boy howdy! GRIBs for early 29th are crazy-tightly wound. Seems to begin to degrade late 30th. Very Good friends of mine just grounded in Mag Bay from Mr Paul. Hylas 46, SeaSilk. No business in Baja this early. Grounded on Isla Margarita. On recent issue of Lectroinc Lat 38. Will be pulled off the beach Oct 31st and towed to Cabo. Be careful out there! Cheers all!

Re: SSSSM - Part Deux

hihihihi says SaltyMonkey. Storm coming where SMB is! Just back from SpyderMarket and bought 30 gallons of water. And bananas. But, need to go out again and get more, even though SMB is up river. See, tehre are trees here, and SMB sees trees have loose branches, get it?

So, zeezee be good and watch boatykatt. And flyfly hurry up to SF bay ok? SMB may be here a while although he was supposed to fly back on air thingie on Tuesday, DONT LOOK GOOD! SupderDupler storm com in; and SMB will hide and loose power for a while and throw out many anchors.

Thanks very much! ahh.. the deepest secrets and dreams data. D's are generally about cruising somewhere warm, with no schedule or deadline. More about other dreams later...

Ok, one reveal. Was just cooking lunch, mighty BLT, and then thoroughly cleaned my stove. Love to clean the stove...

Re: SSSSM - Part Deux

Welcome Capt. Jeffry! Your sailing experience is pretty impressive. Where do you live between fast deliveries and races?
Does Ms Punky go with you?

Re: SSSSM - Part Deux

Jeffry is perfect.. I live aboard my boat in Marina Del Rey. Punkie generally stays with my Dad. If I'm gone for 2-3 days a friend on the dock feeds and cleans. She loves to go to the Channel Islands but has her limits in rough weather. Doesn't like to clip in
