Years ago, seeing a hot-rodded antique was something I didn't appreciate. I was the purist, preferring to see cars in original, restored condition. On the other hand, someone once said that many old cars wouldn't be around anymore if they hadn't been taken in by a rodder, chopped and supercharged. Better rodded than rusted.

It's too bad today's look-alike cars have no user-serviceable parts. Being a car aficionado tells your age ...
Also...the rallys I'm talking about are classic and vintage car rallies...and yeah...getting damn hard finding original early cars from this era....
