Good Home Repairs Forum?
Anybody got a good recommendation for a forum that deals with home repairs? I know there are a bunch out there, but I'd like to narrow down the search if possible.
I've got a problem with my concrete walls (interior and exterior) here in Thailand. It appears the concrete didn't fully cure before they painted and now there is lots of bubbling under the paint. It's definitely a DIY project since the skill level in Thailand is nonexistent.

Hey - I just noticed you're in Krabbi. I visited there last Feb - a fellow yachter here in Kuwait has an apartment there. Cool place - and love the German food there!

If the bubbles are just in the paint you just need to sand and repaint. If the bubbles are in the concrete you have to "pop" them with a hammer, then fill with new concrete, then repaint. Chok Dee

Thanks! Where was the German food you had? We are always looking for food other than Thai. The Thai food is great and we love it, but we need variety.

Re: Good Home Repairs Forum?
I have always had good luck with GardenWeb as a forum with a lot of good DIY home improvement info.

Thanks Woodchuck. It's definitely in the concrete and a lot of the concrete under the bubbles is like sand. I've been digging/scrapping it away until I get to something solid. I next plan to fill with new concrete and paint, but want to make sure I'm not missing something ... like why did this happen and will it happen again? And should this be the end of the problem?

Usually to much sand in a poor mix to keep costs down... and if that is the case keep your eyes open for other missing corners....
Sorry to be so negative....

Someone else said the same thing, but all the bubbles are around the bottom of the walls. Never any higher than 6" usually. If it were the mix wouldn't the problems be more scattered?
