Well know NZ racing yacht in the 70s and 80's Waikikamukau

But of course the name got a bit to famous to be fun anymore.

Worked it out yet?

If you can't understand it highlight the following area

Why kick a moo cow

Mark
PS Before naming your own boat something 'witty' remember it may sound totally stupid said on the radio, or by someone else... or in Spanish etc Also pay particular attention to any boat name with 'wind' in it....

We saw a young couple on a nice 40+ sailboat in Mexico. It was called "Grateful Heir".
Another one (also with a young couple) was called "Dessert First".
A BIG trimaran had big fat red arrows on each ama pointing straight up and in red block letters on the transom it said,

"THIS SIDE UP".

Another multihull was called "Willyflippit".

Best name we've seen on a boat:
Steamy Windows

We were anchored next to it in Grenada, but never saw them on deck. Hmmm, wonder what they were up to?

I know a guy that didn't know what he wanted to name his boat, so but "TBD" on the documentation paperwork. He decided to stick with that.

My father was (is) a very competitive Lightning sailor: "I'm sorry too!" was on his stern.

In my youth, I bought an M-Scow from our sailmaker. He was well known for taking old wooden Ms and completely redoing them - and they were very competitive. He finally broke down and bought a new glass boat. He had it molded in pink - it was quite spectacular, really. And the name when I picked it up? "The Gay Termite".

Running Scared

Seems appropriate for pirate infested waters.
