Re: What bank and credit card do you use?
I bank with a local credit union, although my credit cards are issued through different institutions. I've never had any major problems using my debit card internationally. The one time I did have a glitch I was able to solve it with a quick email.
As someone else said, with a CU you can actually know the person on the line, and they can know you. This makes getting quality service a whole lot easier.

Re: What bank and credit card do you use?
I'm trying to find a bank that will let me deposit checks via app or ATM from remote locations- branches and mail are not always available or convenient, and the limits on check sizes for mobile deposits on apps are an issue. I've not been able to find a bank that will have a very high or unlimited check amount for deposit remotely by app, web, non-network ATM, phone, etc, etc?
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Re: What bank and credit card do you use?
My SoFi limit is $25k a day and remote deposited check funds are available 2-3 days quicker than with my traditional banks.

Charles Schwab bank, used them throughout Bahamas, BVI, USVI, Panama and Europe, no problems. No ATM fees, good exchange rate and deposit through app. Have only deposited dollar denominated checks

Re: What bank and credit card do you use?
Look at Credit unions.
My credit union has no foreign exchange fees, no ATM fees, and will often reimburse fee's the ATM operator charges, though internationally that doesn't always happen. Plus, I earn interest on money in my checking account, as opposed to paying a fee.
I am of the opinion that there is no reason to use a bank, all they to is take your money and foul up the economy.
