Florida gulf spearfishing

Anyone know what the regulations are on spearing fish while snorkeling?

Pretty sure you must be 200 yds from land thougb people spear at the skyway once in a while though i wouldnt do it snorkeling, also tons of current. We free dive offshore where are you planning to spear?

We'll be in Anna Marie. No boat so I thought I'd ask the question. I'll either try to find a ride or just fish the pier. Thanks for the response.
