Thanks very much Sandy. And yes, this is different...just looking at options if I need to speed up by a day or two because of weather window. If looks like smooth sailing the whole time, I'm inclined to do the original route you suggested...

Sandy gave such a good report, I didn't bother to try and add anything. I've made that run a lot, and it's pretty fun. We always go out at Pensacola, and back in at Panama City ourself. I don't mind sailing all night, and there is not much at Destin I really have to see, have, or do.

I may be available to help you with this trip. I've done Nola to Tampa, skipping marinas/anchorages along that way. The mast was short enough to make the ICW transit. And I've done Tampa to Carrabelle to Destin. Both trips we've done 24 hour segments.
