Crossing

Hi all, am planing a trip from Lautoka Fiji to Brisbane Australia in early August 2022,
Even though I have I am an experienced mariner for 40 years plus this will be my first crossing.
I have purchased a 45' sailing yacht and sailing it back to Australia,
Any constructive information will be appreciated.
Cheers James

Re: Crossing

It would be really nice to have long range comms to get weather and in case of emergencies. I don't know whether Australia still has their PITA early notification for arrival requirements.

pirate Re: Crossing

I just gave an ETA via email for arrival in Oz waters from Vanuatu and the long range air patrol monitored my passage through the Torres as I headed for Darwin.. daily chat on the fly over..
No PITA...
