Got to wondering about how/if you declare income while cruising. Working without a permit in various countries during the year, for cash... do you just not declare income anywhere?
Using the "T" word ... comes might close to violating the cruising philosophy. To paraphrase Mr. Clements ... Rent and Taxes are the two things that boil my blood - or something like that.
Man .. even if someone issues you a 1099 or some such thing, if you are out of country, you get the ex-pat base ... I think itis 75000 / yr ... before you owe uncle .

Mate, I too, am a marinemechanic. I've been around by three oceans.
Aye will be more than 'appy to 'andle yer tax issues if you simply send me 25% of all yer earnings while yer out there workin' & voyagin' - less 5% (naturally) for admisistrative. Aye will help you be sure to be doing your part for the Federal Government.
Think it over - and in the meantime... Aye will set up an account in Grand Cayman.
