Hi, I'm really interested in the trip. I won't be able to join you until Bali in October, is that alright?
About me: Xavier from Argentina, 28 y/o, RYA Day skipper with 3500 NM logged, did a trans-atlantic crossing on an Oyster 45 with the ARC 2012. I really wanna sail around South Africa, so this trip is perfect. Please let me know what else you need to know. I'm living in Hungary right now, no job or anything, so I can take a plane and meet you in Bali.

    Cheers!

Hey Kirk! I sent a message back in December I think. How are you? I've been reading your current blogs. Well, I bought a new (to me) sailboat! She is so beautiful! Check her out on my photo albums. Today Narragansett Bay...tomorrow the Caribbean!? My Aussie friends and rellies want me to visit!
Take care and have fun in the "happy Isles"

Hi Kirk, thank you for writing! Ya, Donna and I jam together playing Celtic music. I play all manner of drums and played my bodhran with her. I would love to "come out and play" as soon as my foot heals from foot surgery. I am seriously starting to cruise next year (I know, I should wait for my "financial situation to change" before I start cruising, because one cannot afford not to go and would love to meet up with you!
I have really enjoyed reading your blogs and would love to have the opportunity to meet you and also share stories, talk about boats, travel, astronomy, science and other meaningful topics with like-minded people as you. I am a geophysicist and have worked in GIS and nautical chart cartography for years. Say, do you have any photos of your cruising trips I may look at whilst I am recuperating this winter? Also, would you be willing to take aboard any eager, adventurous, hard-working sailors/crew members nowadays as you trans Pac? Take care!
    Cheers,
    Heidi

Hi all! I am new to the forum and just wanted to say "Hello" and that a friend of ours Donna Lange told me a bit about you and your sailing story blogs. I really enjoyed reading them and living vicariously through them! I have always loved sailing, boating and the sea. Being a geophysicist, I would love to work in geological oceanography. I plan on buying a sailboat in the next year and would love to do more serious bluewater cruising...now to convince by boyfriend... I used to live in Virginia and cruised the Chesapeake, too.
    Slainte,
    Heidi
