Re: Do We Sometimes Prepare Too Much?

I think the gentleman's boat in the picture i posted poising the question is the epitome of having way too much stuff! A dog, and he has one, has to put it's tail outside of the rails to have a good wag.

I go for the idea of going and do stuff along the way, it makes life interesting, breakdowns bring out just what the necessities are because really you can get by…

Cheers

Re: Do We Sometimes Prepare Too Much?

As one who is currently planning and preparing for a next year departure I'm not sure how the "big hairy audacious adventure" will go but certainly has been a fun process thus far. At least it is living.

Bad day on the ocean or port, compared to daily grind in a cubicle cage. I'm betting that the sea adventure will be worth all that comes our way even if parts of it will be harsh and nasty.

I will have to keep you posted if we have over prepared, at this stage I'm thinking the opposite may be true.... our thought was a good boat will assist in our current lack. Plus by selling everything and starting on the opposite side of the world to home it will be a case of learning and enjoying the journey because that's just the way it's going to be!

This is a really interesting thread and Zeehag the Snake Charmer and Herder of Cats, I really like the attitude you're throwing - I'll catch this approach any day.

cheers
