Sailing and getting to sail

The ice did indeed leave, in fact one day during the rain, it just dissapeared. Funny thing a sailor being happy to see rain!
The winter clothes have removed from Witchcraft. She looks like a sailing vessel again. Of course much deck scrubbing now to take place. I wonder how places that never got walked on, got so dirty.
While witchcraft has not sailed yet, the dingy has. In fact two days after the ice sailing was happening.

Isn't it WONDERFUL!!!? We have been fitting and re-fitting Amanda Faye for about a month. Went we started there was snow and ice on the deck, Yesterdaywas a wonderfull warm sunny day.

It is official spring is here. More and more people are arriving at the basin, readying their boats for launch.
I got the decks scrubbed, and we bent on the sails yesterday in the warm sunny day. I was lacing the main on, the odd person stopped to watch. It is not so often these days that people get to see sails being laced. Then we raised sail, shook them out, aired them out.
Witchcraft now looks like herself.
