I made one out of sheet aluminum. I am in fresh water and it has not corroded too badly.

You could use black acrylic ?

Frontpanelexpress is great to deal with. If you place any value your time, you probably can’t make a panel for less than they can. And they’re customer service has been perfect. On one order, they shipped a duplicate of one panel instead of two different panels. One quick email solved the problem and my client got a nice apology email about a week later. A second client placed an order and got an email back saying "It looks from the email address that you might be on a sailboat. If so, we’ve got a couple of suggestions on improving the panel."

Check in your area for a maker space. Then talk someone there to cut it from ABS on a CNC router. Or get a quote from Tapp plastic.
