Workhorse Sailboat Trailer

This heavy duty workhorse has 8 adjustable supports, and a solid keel cradle with removable sides to help you feel confident your sailboat will comfortably arrive at its destination in the condition you expect.

In recent years it has been safely stored long term in a secure weather protected workshop/ storage locker during a major retrofit of my boat.

The hot dip galvanized 32’ trailer has a mighty 14,000 pound rating. Originally it was custom designed and built for my full keel heavy displacement Pacific Seacraft Orion 27 (waterline length 22’, 27’ on deck length, 31.25’ overall) so should be able to handle almost any full keel boat in the 25-30’ size range, you be the judge. Best of all it has a work platform which lets you access the pulpit without a ladder

It has a goose neck for safer handling with improved driving maneuverability and better weight distribution. Electric brakes allow for easier stopping. Four tires on tandem axles are in new condition with a full deep healthy tread and a never used locked down spare tire. Bearings will be professionally freshly packed this week and everything serviced before I move it to New Orleans where I will be launching for long term travel.

The superior quality of the trailer finish and its strength is a testimony to its quality workmanship and long lasting protection from rust to help assure a durable lifespan. A new trailer of this quality might cost about 20k, almost as good as new this one is much less.

Located in New Orleans region, Price $12,500

Price reduced to $8500. Don’t know how to change original listing so I might re-list and cancel this.

Re: Workhorse Sailboat Trailer

What is the height range of the stands?
And, how far off of the ground is the keel tray?

Re: Workhorse Sailboat Trailer

The base of stand to adjuster for the stands ( not including insert extension) is front 33”, mid 29-½” aft 37”. Since the boat on trailer prevents maximum articulation of the extension I cannot measure full extension size but imagine it could easily be 2/3 or 3/4 of base measurement. Present partial extension is 7”,7”,15”.

I didn’t read your full question before measuring so will give height of keel tray in a separate comment in just a bit.

The top of the keel tray is 18-½” off the ground before height adjusting boards are added in
