Vesper SPL 160 Antenna Spliter

*High performance active splitter for AIS transponder, VHF radio, and AM/FM radio

*A built-in low noise amplifier makes the Vesper Marine antenna splitter uniquely able to improve AIS reception and range by providing signal gain.

*This unit allows you to use both your VHF radio and AIS transponder (and AM/FM radio) with just a single VHF antenna. No need for 2 separate antennas for AIS transponder and VHF radio.

*4 LEDs indicate status or a problem with the antenna, cable or installation

*Also functions as an AM/FM radio antenna *Uses standard PL-259 patch cables for VHF and AIS, BNC for radio 12/24 volts with very low power consumption *135mm Long x 107 Wide x 56 Deep *Used in perfect condition, cost new $600
*Please note! This is an active splitter and works on both transmit and receive. When your AIS transponder (not just a receiver) is turned on, it will be continuously transmitting your position and other data on 2 VHF frequencies. If you want to make a call using your VHF radio, the Vesper splitter will automatically connect your single antenna to the VHF while you transmit; when you stop transmitting, the antenna will automatically be connected back to the AIS. Passive "splitters" such as the Shakespere 5257 do NOT do this; they only split the antenna on the receive function between the VHF radio and the AIS transponder. To transmit on either device, you will have to manually plug and unplug your single antenna from one device to the other. (Or have 2 separate antennas). This is why the retail price of the Vesper is 5X that of the Shakespeare.
Price is US$195
Will be shipped from New Zealand, cost of shipping depends where you are.
