Looking to buy a new or second hand unit from the outside EU market.

Prices / taxes in Europe are outrageous (1005 USD instead of 799 USD) for exactly the same unit.
Figured I'd rather pay for the shipping cost than spent 200 dollar more.

Not sure however how they'll charge the "extra" 3,8 % after 3 months ?? Strange. I really have no idea about this tax. Maybe you should ask them. Also check this company, it seems they even ship to some countries for free or maybe just in UK. From my perspective, you should contact both companies to be sure they have XB-8000 in stock for this price.

BTW if you are not planning to use separate VHF antenna for your XB-8000 buy Vesper Marine SP160 Antenna Splitter. It works great.
