Spinnaker Pole

Looking for a spinnaker pole for a 53 foot cutter.
Probably should be between 15’ to 18’. Only going to use it to pole out the headsail.
An adjustable pole would be great if only for the stowage factor.
I am in Florida, boat is in Connecticut, so I could pickup anywhere on the east coast.
Thank you.

Re: Spinnaker Pole

If you’re 100% sure you’re only going to be poling out the headsail, you could look for a whisker pole rather than a spinnaker pole.

They tend to be lighter (and cheaper) as they don’t have to handle the same stresses.

Re: Spinnaker Pole

I have a pole that meets your requirements. It's an aluminum pin stop adjustable pole. It goes from 10'-0" to 16'-8". The outer tube is 3" diameter and the inner tube is 2.5". I'm located on Long Island, NY and can inexpensively ship it to Bridgeport CT by way of the Port Jefferson to Bridgeport ferry if that's a viable option. Asking $500.

How heavy is your boat? Would think you will need a substantial size (dia) pole for a 53' cutter.

Hello Replusted,
Thank for the offer of the adjustable pole. My thoughts are that with me using at its full extension, it is at its weakest.
I would first like to see if someone may come up with a longer adjustable pole, so I might be able to use it, without it being fully , therefore stronger.
I will certainly keep yours in mind. Thank you, Roger

Hello Bill,
My J measurement is ( I am guessing here) about 18 feet. I do not want deal with that sort of size pole. That’s why a think an adjustable pole would better suit my needs.
Boat is a custom, foam core, 40,000 lbs

Re: Spinnaker Pole

Are you looking for ready to go units only? I have a beast of an adjustable spinny pole at my home. The end fitting on this pole are shot. Too much corrosion. The aluminum tubes are fine though. I will give this to you if you want to pick up. I want to say collapsed this pole is 14ft and extended at least 20ft? I will measure collaspe and extended tonight. Really if anyone wants this pole contact me.
