Want To Buy: Sale Prices for Recently Sold Boats

I'm currently boat shopping, and I'd like to get sales data for boat models that I'm looking at.


I've looked at JD Power for book values, and PopYacht's soldboatprice.com, but would be interested in data from other sources, including soldboats.com (especially if there's more recent data)


The boat models I'm looking at are all listed for less than 50K, so I'm guessing it's not really worth it (for the broker on either side) for me to use a buyer's broker. But I also don't want to accidentally pay 10K more than the boats are really selling for.



So if you're a broker or someone else with access to the data and would be willing to spend a few minutes chatting with me and getting me the info, I'm willing to pay a reasonable fee for your time.

sounds like you may need to hire a buyer's agent. but yeh they are hesitant with smaller boats.

Soldboats data only goes so far for boats in that price range. The condition is king.

If you're looking at a specific boat that involves a broker, they might print some comps for you.

It's a market, so if you look at boats enough, you'll start to see a pattern on what boats are selling for.

It's more art than science.
