Sailor VHS telephone / radio antique

Comes with old style telephone handset that sits into mounting bracket part # RT 144 AD will remove with care and all the small stuff, previous owner supposedly had it restored. I would like it to go to a museum or historical restoration if it's rare. Don't know what it could be worth and I did promise to take my time removeing so I need to put in a price in the ad. 500Click image for larger version

Don’t know how you came up with that price but I used to work as a volunteer for Marconi Wireless. Have seen some similarly restored. My guess is these tube type radios are pretty common in the preservation world and have no intrinsic value. By the way, it’s VHF, not VHS.

These are still in use! Check out Whale Wars on Animal Planet.

It is really cool if you’re into old radios.

My guess is you wouldn’t like my answer, however, to a collector, it might fetch $100 USD. The problem is finding someone who values it. Most collectors I know want older stuff. Good luck. It’s a nice piece of nostalgia

Two similar ones on eBay listed as parts only for $200 each.

Others sold for 60 to 350 with shipping

I am in the market for one of these. But in the wrong part of the world. These are good radios, not tube, but transistor. Easily repaired, if they ever break.

Somewhere between 200 and 400$ I would say.
