For sale weather vane steering device

We just bought a 2001 Island Packet that came with a weather vane steering device. The original owners made a couple transatlantic trips from the Virgin Islands to the Mediterranean.
We won’t be traveling any distance and would like to sell it.
I know zero about it. I can send pictures.
It’s made by scanmar international.
It’s on Saint Thomas.
Let me know if anyone interested and what it would be worth to you.
I was told by our captain that it’s worth $5000.00.
I am not looking for anywhere near that amount.
I am told it’s extremely useful for long trips sailing so just want someone to make use of it.

You originally posted this in the forum Tech Support forum, which is for help with using this website. Your post was then moved to the General Classifieds. However, it needs to have some clarifications added: CF requires you state the location of the windvane and an asking price for it. You can do that by making a new post here in this thread, with the information the posting rules require. You have 24 hrs. in which to do this. Otherwise, the post will be deleted.
