I just scored an amazing deal on a commercial-grade Class A
AIS transceiver.
It seems that West
Marine has a few left-over em-Trak model A100 units that they are selling for $499. I just installed one on my
boat and I'm blown away by the build quality and the features.
Price is so low because the model is discontinued after many years of production and WM just wants to clear them out of the warehouse. Comparable new
AIS units are selling for more than triple the
price.
When I tried to order through my local store, the order got jammed up and wouldn't go through. When I ordered online using the "Ship-to-store" option, I had the unit in less than a week.
