Free: 30 yr old watermaker, MOB and ORC flare kit

Hi folks,


I should have just left this equipment with the boat when we sold it but I always expected to get another sailboat to cruise on.


Watermaker: PUR Powersurvivor-80II, all contained in a single plastic case. It's 12V 6 gallon/hour. I pickled it before storing but its been 30 years since last used. Maybe someone likes to tinker with these things? I also have a pre-filter case and 4 or so spare filters. Oh, and the chemicals for cleaning and pickling.



MOB: Survival Technologies Group MOM9, never deployed. Online info says it deploys a one person raft, pylon with light on top and two sea anchors. No idea if the fabric or glue joints are still good, because that means I'd have to deploy it.



ORC flare kit: Pains-Wessex Schermuly. Contains 4 pinpoint red handflares, 4 red parachute rockets, 2 buoyant orange smoke signals and 4 collision warning white handflares. If there was ever a date of manufacture or expiration date printed on the label, its not there now, but I purchased the kit in Oct 1993 from West Marine in Danvers, MA. I've tried every which way to legally dispose of this kit (Coast Guard, Auxiliary Coast Guard, local Power Squadron, Police and Fire Department). No one here has a method for disposal. But if someone thinks they can use them, great.


So I'm not shipping anything anywhere. Either someone needs to come to New Bern or I can meet in Washington, Jacksonville, Morehead, Beaufort, Oriental, somewhere in that radius.

I figure 30 year old, not much resale value and I'd just like it out of my garage. But I also hate just throwing stuff out.

I've had stuff I tried to give away, but no one was interested, figuring if it is free, it's junk. Posted new ad for say . . . $50.00, and gotten it snapped right up!
Free sounds like a great price to me!
