Re: Clothing Optional Boating / Sailing in NY
I've not sailed in NY waters, but I am certain that if I did, my own option would be clothing. It would, among other things, better protect the environment. If others made a different personal decision, I would not be offended all of the time, so I would hope. Based upon prior observations elsewhere, when not wearing clothing, males, such as I am, tend to think we are more impressive than we perhaps are, but females, seem to believe they are less impressive than they actually are.

Totally understand that... Figured I would share my interest on here and maybe connect with others who enjoy it or have info! like I said it's just something I would want to experience once in my life and figure now is the best time while I still have the body I'm ok with showing off..

Re: Clothing Optional Boating / Sailing in NY
I'm pretty sure you're not going to find any organized clothing optional charter in NY state due to indecent exposure laws, which I believe are still in effect. You'll probably have a lot more luck in the Caribbean or other countries.
There's also not a huge extent of cruising ground in NY that offers enough privacy to go naked on the down-low. Maybe around Gardiner's Bay and the south side of Shelter Island, but it's slim pickings outside of that area.

If you spend much time in places that don't have these bizarre American taboos, you'll find that it's not just the people with good physiques who go au natural. Quite the opposite in fact.
I sail past a couple of "official" nude beaches, and it is very, very important to never point the binoculars in that direction. The horror...
Many years ago, a younger Wet-behind-the-ears me was walking along the edge of the Tiergarten in Berlin on a nice spring day. Lunch time came along and people started streaming into the park and stripping off all their clothes! WTF?

Re: Clothing Optional Boating / Sailing in NY
I live on the south shore LI so I guess the best place would be in the ocean past the 3 mile line .. I gotta save the money up and get to the Carribean I guess.. That seems like my only option..

Just Google "Clothing optional sail" and you find 3 or more ads for NY

I guess it falls under the "if a tree falls in the woods and no one is there to hear it..." category lol.

Can't imagine wanting to do this while underway...just too much potential for nasty cuts/bruises/bangs (!)
Naked sunset cocktails are another matter altogether 😜

You could anchor off Cherry Grove on Fire Island, loll around naked, and no one would care.

Hey...They even have a TV show called The Naked News. Deeeeeelightful.
And last week an episode of Below Decks featured guests from Naked News. And yep...They were. Now, I watch every episode.
