She is finding it harder and harder to find a pic a day.

Re: Any Photographers with DSLR's Around ?

Very nice, Mrs. Coops. Nice bike too. What is that Coops?

I can imagine she is having trouble with the 1-a-day challenge. Trying to remain artistic day after day in the same area is truly a challenge--but she's holding up well.

There have been some other very nice images too by Jedi & others. I do enjoy them. For the moment it's just me & my pheasant so I haven't much to contribute. (Photo challenges are too tough!)

When ut seems there is no subject or inspiration that day, we would mount a macro lens, macro flash unit, sit down at a random place and a new world with uncountable new subjects opens up

This is a 400mm tele lens though:

One of her favourite animals the sloth. She would love to be able to take pics of them.

PC, It's just a Suzuki Boulevard, nothing special. Old fart's bike.

Re: Any Photographers with DSLR's Around ?

Hopefully the powers that be will get me home this weekend, and it's off to Calumet in lovely downtown Ft. Lauderdale for my macro. There is a Best Buy a mile from my house, but after the hassles they are giving me on a 18 day old broken laptop, they can smooch my buttocks.

There are many good places that sell gear but these two are the best of the US and have good prices too:

B&H Photo Video Digital Cameras, Photography, Camcorders
Photography, Digital Cameras, Lenses, Electronics - 8PM Shipping - Adorama Camera

I have used both and can recommend them. They ship fast and are of the kind that can be trusted to do a good job, send the genuine article etc.

Also, a visit to NYC is not complete without visiting B&H Can be costly visits though

Don't forget flash for macro. When the subject moves (is alive), you normally need flash to freeze it.

Re: Any Photographers with DSLR's Around ?

Oh, I have spent thousands at B&H! Bought the Canon 50d from them. I have a Wimberley bracket on my wish list. Unsure if I want to pull the trigger on the 600 flash, or a 580ex II. I should probably get the bracket first.

I would take a trip to NYC just to go to B&H.

I do hope she keeps trying. It seems the everyday items shown in different ways are some of my favorite photos..like the skin off the apple or the champagne glass with fireworks 🎉 Sometimes you find the special where you least expect it. I'm a fan! 😎

She really cannot be bothered even trying. Lazy as me, that is why we get on so well.
