You live in Miami, your chances of seeing one are a 1,000 fold more than mine. Here is my local watering hole/rib joint in Hangtown, California.

Well you can still enjoy the "thrill" of revving a Volkswagen TDI engine, as they make a good aux for your boat.

I want to keep feet in both camps

This summer I am hoping to do a 10 or so day blast and take my Merc to where it belongs and cruise the French Riviera. On the way there and back I will give it a blast on the Autobahns and lots of mountain passes in the Alps

You know that has crossed my mind when the Yanmar gives up the ghost.
A TDI would be a great replacement powerhouse.Have you seen any sailboats w/this setup?

On another side note,I never knew that VW owns Buggati.I watched the Nat Geo special on the Veyron, pretty interesting stuff.

Story is that one was being tested on the Autobahn, when an aproaching, opposite direction police helicopter descended, causing the Bug driver to pull over to the side.
He questioned the police pilot as to why he had been stopped, having broken no laws.
The pilot smiled and said no problem, but another police chopper following the car had not been able to catch him for a looksee.
The other chopper landed to get a look, for which the 2nd pilot thanked him One fast Volksvagen.
