Talking Adding images

An image can say more than a thousand words, so I've now opened ALMOST ALL sections to [IMG] code.

Check the Forum Rules at the bottom of the message editor.

To include a picture or graphic within the body of your message, you can simply surround the address of the image as shown here:

[img)http://cruisersforum.com/banner.gif(/img]

NB! I've written the tags wrong here to show the code. They should be [img] [/img].

Note that the url must be complete for the [img] code to work.

Pressing the [IMG] button in the editor gives you the code right. The image needs to be located on webserver and you need to know the address. Most people have some space with their internet provider.

I right-click the image (Windows) to find its address under properties, copy the address to the clipboard and paste it in using the [IMG] button.

Please keep the image below 580 pixels wide not to mess up the format of the page!

In this section [IMG] code and vB Code are OFF, otherwise you wouldn't see the code.

Using the 'Attach file' option in the message editor means uploading a file to the database. We don't want too much of that since it fills up the database too quickly, so we've now set the maximum filesize to 1000 bytes (too small for images). We want to keep the database 'fast and slim'.

Happy pasting,
Gisle
