Taking stuff to my boat

Hi All,

I am planning to drive down to my boat in Montenegro from the UK in April which will mean driving across the EU. Montenegro is not in the EU.

I plan to take a load of goodies for my pride and joy including a new Starlink satellite system.

What I want to know is what tariffs would be chargeable from a customs perspective, if any, given the final destination is a non EU country.

Any advice would be helpful.

Mike

HM Revenue and Customs is the ideal place to pose a question and receive an authoritative answer.

If anyone is interested I have now researched this and for personal effects there is need to make a customs declaration. You do need to have evidence that you have paid tax on the items if you are stopped so keep the invoices if you have them.
