Greece Transit Log

I plan to sail from the south of France to Turkey with a stop over in Greece. As I was researching the Transit Log requirement in Greece I came across the following post from 2019.

I couldn't find anything else on the internet that would validate if this is correct of if it has changed. But from what it says we would check-out of the EU in Italy and then during customs check-in in Greece we would show passports and the crew list and receive a Transit Log. The post implies that as long as you do not leave the boat unattended (you sleep on the boat, not land) then you can stay for the length of the transit log permit and this is not associated to Schengen days.

Can anyone validate this is the case?

This is a little out of date. Yes, you can stay in-transit in any EU Med country, but you need an agent to manage it for you. Try Murrati Yacht Services in Kos for Greece or Med Yacht Services (Monaco) for all of the Med. Ask them if they can facilitate you staying in EU waters, stamped in on a crew list, under the International Maritime Organisation's Converntion on the Facilitation of Marine Traffic, 1965 rules. All crew must be 3rd country citizens from visa exempt countries and the boat must be a 3rd country boat.
