Where Would One Find a Used Rudder ?

Where would I find a used rudder for a Columbia T26 out there. I have looked in my local area but sailboat parts in this part of Florida are in short supply. I guess due to now hurricanes lately and the fact that these Columbia's last forever.
To have one built by a company named Foss, to specs, is over $900 and I cannot afford that kind of cash at the moment.
Any suggestion?

The previous owner threw it away and made one out of lexan, which is to flexible and of wrong proportion. I can order plans for one and build it but it looks like a lot of work.

is it an spade rudder? (free hanging, not attached to the keel...)

if so you could look for something with a similar surface area and the same size rudder stock... should give you some more options...

It is a spade rudder hung off two skegs with a helm steering arm attached to rudder

Make it yerself. It's not as hard as you might imagine. Just be glad that you don't HAVE to make it in order to get home!

Which may be why Foss Foam wants about $900 for one.

I've built a few custom rudders myself....... Not that hard...
If you use 2 part foam, A+B poured into a 2X4 frame of the aproximate size.. shape it to the right size with a small grinder and wrap it in either carbon fiber or fiberglass cloth.. a couple hours each night and you'll have a rudder by the weekend....
