Volvo Penta 3 Cylinder

Hi All,
I am considering purchasing a second hand Volvo Penta 3 Cylinder Diesel Engine (Only, there is no gear box or drive fitted, which I will fit later) The engine is coloured orange/red and is mounted on the same colour steel Skid Frame that has been made to suit, no fan, no radiator, no water pump (In and Outlets are there via tubing with solenoid and pressure regulater).
As I cannot find any reference to this unit can any person advise me on the engines Age, Reccommended Use, H.P. R.P.M., As it is quite unused an approximate Value?
