Steering resistance
Hi, we had a beautiful sail 3 weeks ago and the wheel was moving very smoothly, I then had to do a short haul to change and repack stuffing box and now that the boat is back in water the steering is not as smooth, it is as if I haven’t released the wheel brake even though it’s completely loose. Can you please help me how to troubleshoot? I have an Edson steering pedestal. Thanks.

P.S. don’t know if this is the proper sub-forum to post above question or not, mods can move it if necessary. Also, I searched the forum and didn’t find a related thread.
