I found a floor panel to be rotten. The piece in about 2' x 3'. I carefully removed the edging board, and was able to carefully remove the delaminated
plywood,leaving a 1/4" top sheet of T&H. So then I bought a 1/2" panel of
plywood (thought about the green stuff, but it looked too rough, so I got a sanded panel.) I can cut the ply to the exact shape of the top
flooring. My question is how to secure the plywood to the
flooring. I have considered
fiberglass resin, or structural glue such as Gorrilla Glue. I can refinish the flooring once the panel is glued back together. The resin would certainly waterproof the panel. Verathane would
work, but maybe not as well.
