I would strongly advise against any diode type isolator. Plenty of better solutions exist today such as combiners (ACR's or VSR's) and battery to battery type charges such as the Echo
Charger, Duo
Charger or Sterling's B2B chargers..
Personally I'm not a fan of Charlie Sterling's voltage regulators. No way to
current limit, alt temp sense cut is not adaptive, not fully user programabble etc. etc.. The
Balmar ARS-5 or MC-614 are much more customizable to fit your vessels needs....
