Orion Flare Gun Cartridges a Different Shape ?

I have a couple of the Orion orange flare guns and the cartridges look like shotgun cartridges. They are expired and so going to wal-mart I see the new Orion flare gun cartridges have a long snout on the front, they are visibly longer.
So will these work with the flare guns I currently own?

Yes, I am pretty sure the will. I had the same question recently when I bought some new ones too.
