A big boat. Lots to inspect and maintain. Also lots of potential problems with the transaction (nationals of two different countries, and the transaction in a third?) unless you pretty much take her, "as is," but subject to a pre-sale survey and both out and in the water, plus a sea trial. You can probably drive a hard bargain if the basic systems are OK and you want her. If they are not, run away. I do not know about the rep of the Bavaria line so nothing to add there.

Fear not unless the boat was not prepared properly on hallout.
You must live in the eastern part of Canada and not familiar with the geography of the western part of this continent. In B.C. we don't take our boats out of the water in winter, we go sailing! How about a cruise to Vancouver Island for Christmas? and when you say Washington, one presumes you mean Washington DC and not Washington State because WA state is attached to the south side of B.C. and some of them do like us in BC 'cept they mostly cruise to the San Juan's for a Christmas cruise.
