Need Replacement Gasket

Is anyone familiar with the make of this deck hatch? I need to replace the gasket. As near as I can tell the gasket beds into the plexi top of the hatch, so I'm guessing it needs to have an adhesive backstrip.

Thoughts appreciated

Re: Need Replacement Gasket

Perhaps the Bomar hatch gasket with the adhesive stripe will fit.

It's hard to tell from the pics, but sometimes you cast/make the seal yourself. Silicone is popular. There are rubber compounds of various hardness that also work.

If you do an eBay/Amazon search on something like "seal strip adhesive backed" you'll get stacks of choices

Re: Need Replacement Gasket

Surely there's a gasket shop somewhere in Michigan? Take the hatch lid in, so you can find the proper size material, buy a tiny bit extra, fit it tight, mark it , cut perpendicular with a razor blade and use super glue to bond the ends. Once installed, rub the gasket material with silicone GREASE. It will preserve the material, and make a superb seal.

There are, but they make them for the auto manufacturers. Other than
Home Depot I can't think of any retailers.

Perhaps this is more of a Bowmar type solution.

Look at gaskets on McMaster Carr and similar sites.
