Mast Painting

Hi List.
Going to be dropping our mast on our C30 while we are here in Mexico where the boat is kept so that dictates the environment it is in. Going to be doing some maintenance on it but want to repaint the aluminum mast. Was thinking of some type of epoxy paint but wasn't sure what the best would be for this environment.

Re: Mast Painting

Epoxy paint will degrade in a couple years due to UV. If you want maximum lifespan, use a linear Polyurethane, like Awlgrip. You will also need to purchase the aluminum prep materials such as Alodine. Or not, and watch your investment deteriorate quicker than you can imagine.
