It depends on location... The same "tonnage only" survey that goes for GBP150 or so in the UK can cost more than GBP500 in the Caribbean, only because there are only a few guys with the right papers.

The post mentioned survey, not 'Tonnage Survey' and at 700 pound i would take it to mean it is a condition survey, it that clearer?

Checked with RYA (that really confused me ... :-) - looks like it's really only a tonnage survey. But if it's abroad, things get a lot more expensive. Thanks guys.

Australia don't require Tonnage certificates for small vessels, their only req is a builders certificate or a statuary declaration in lieu and a Bill of Sale....

READ and re-read the req's i did and saved a bundle. But still a Tonnage vert is calculations and shouldn't cost more than 150/200 Pounds.
