LED Rope Lights

Any recommendations for LED rope lights? Each year, we string regular LED Christmas lights on our boat for the annual Christmas parade. LED bulbs inadvertently get caught in the rigging and pose problems. I'm thinking rope lights may be the way to go. All constructive suggestions and comments will be greatly appreciated.

They sell 12VDC LED strips that are waterproof on ebay.

Inside some clear tubing they might be strong enough to survive and not get hung on things.
