Hull Repairs in Papeete

Hello All,

A former skipper of mine needs help finding a boatyard in Papeete. He is currently underway about 1200nm east of Tahiti and the prop shaft packing gland has failed. There are also issues with the steering post. Any recommendations on a repair facility?

Lee

Thanks all for your help. The skipper is committed to Papeete as both he and his crew have flights booked to get home to Australia for Easter. I've checked noonsite and it appears that Tahiti Nautic Center is the best bet.

With the sort of problems he has I wouldn't give a rats bum about people's flights. I would be working flat out and reducing the strain on the affected parts, keeping the engine hours down and shoring up the rudder tube.
