If the boat has been sailing in salt water, then you neeed to make sure there is no salt in the hull surface before you glass over. May need multiple washing. To check the cleanliness from salt, wash thoroughly with freshwater and measure the electric conductivity of the drips coming off it. I can't remember off hand what the figures should be.

After the dry out I might suggest that you give the hull a coat of diluted (thinned) epoxy to allow a good saturation just to make sure that if there is any un-saturated glass left over that is gets filled. Or, at least, the questionable areas. Then start the lay up process.
