Best builder/refit yard in SoCal & West Coast Mexico.

If you had a 40 year old Esprit 37, that you’ve loved on for 35 years as it took you around Southern California and the West coast of Mexico as far as Manzanillo, and you now wanted to cross an ocean, and despite no obvious problems, you deem it prudent to drop the rudder, fully evaluate the keel attachment with an eye to possibly refitting both as needed, and price was no object, where would you go between Manzanillo and Point Conception to have the work done to the highest possible standards?

I was in Camden Maine a couple weeks ago, and had a close look at Lyman Morse,and it seemed to me that would be the ideal yard since they are both builders and maintainers.

Can anybody recommend a comparable builder/refitter with deep experience oriented to smaller older cruising sailboats such as mine in Southern California or the West coast on Mexico?
