Another windlass glitch

I have neglected greasing the gypsy on the Lewmar Pro 1000 that sits proudly on the bow. Now the cone seems like it's welded to the mating surface of the gypsy, and no amount of prying can free it. Any good ideas among the hive would be appreciated.

"Prying" is only going to cause damage to other parts. A proper gear and bearing puller is needed.

If the clutch is stuck like this, when you get them apart you will likely find the key and shaft are going to be in need of replacement as well.
