The last time I used one of those the only colored liquid I had was rum. When the job was done I forgot where the bottle was and had to drink it all. *burp*

I went around and around with the spirit level and everything seems fine with just a few minor adjustments. I also spent a good deal of time checking my diagonals. Then I spent some more time and checked my diagonals again. After lunch I'm going to check them again just like the instructions say.

I've setup the first form on the strongback. Spent some extra time on this one to get it plumb and level so that I've got a good foundation to work off of with the rest. The laser will show me the proper height & center for the remaining forms.

It's setup dead nuts on the centerline. I did it this way because the tripod isn't high 'nuff to reach the baseline that's cut onto the forms. I'd only be tripping over the tripod anyways. I will check with a liquid level just to be sure.

I'll be setting up the verticals that hold the forms and will need a little help once I get to the transom form.

Hoping to have it all setup by Saturday.

I got the vertical supports up and couldn't help myself, had to throw Frame E on there to see how it looks!

All that nice space I cleaned out is going to disappear quick! I'll have about 2' on this side and 3 on the workbench side. There's 1 1/2' at the bow and 2' at the stern to get around the hull. It'll be tight but I can do it.

Probably won't get much done tomorrow, I'll need my helper buddy and he's not available till Saturday.

It's been a lot of fun to follow this project on here! Thanks for posting all the updates and letting us be part of your build. I can't wait to see the progress in the months ahead.

+1 . . . You're doing great, Rick, and it's fun to watch it all come together. By "helper buddy," I gather that doesn't refer to the "project supervisor" from yesterday.

No, Boots is retired. Every time I ask him for help he gives me some lame excuse about having no opposable thumbs or some such nonsense.

Here's his typical position on the back porch where he can keep an eye on me!

Glad to see that Boots is wearing proper boat shoes, regardless of his other shortfallings.

Thanks Hummers, now I got one more thing to worry 'bout!

The biggest worry I have is how am I going to flip this monstrosity over once the outside is finished.

The boat's 10' wide and the space to flip it is only 15' wide.

Maybe you should have built a round shed. When your done with the bottom side, just roll the whole shed over.

Actually, I was thinking, install roll bars (hula hoops) over the boat then put'm on rollers then easy over an inch (cm) at a time with a braking system (braces/shoring) so it doesn't run away as the weight passes COG. Or come-a-longs secured to the ground (pilings) opposite the heavy side with lines extending over the top, easing off allowing the roll nice and easy.

That's likely how it's going to go Del. I've seen some roll over frames done with rounded corners so that'll be the best I can do. I could bring in a crane but it would tear my shed apart. This likely won't happen till next spring but that's where my feeble brain is at at the moment.
