My pressurised
water system is sucking air in, and I think it is due to
corrosion of the welded outlet pipe at the top of one of the
water tanks. There is not really enough good pipe left to get the hose on securely.
So I plan to seal the existing outlet and install a plastic outlet down near the bottom. Downsides I can see are:
- Risk of leaking
- Tank will not fully drain
Anything else I should consider? Should I loop the hose up to the top of the tank or will the siphon effect make that pointless?
I also plan to put in a plastic
inspection port - not looking forward to what I might find inside.
