Yanmar 3YM30 - Damper Plate / Flywheel

To All,

I just bought and received two (2) Yanmar 3YM30 "Bobtail" diesel engines, to use with my current Yanmar SD20 Saildrives.

Neither engine came with a "Damper Plate" attached to the flywheel? The Yanmar 3YM30 Engine parts catalog clearly shows the Damper as an engine part.

Does Yanmar not provide a "complete" engine up to the transmission (SD20) connect?

PS. The dealer said they "assumed" I would use the old plates off my 12 year old 3GM30's....!??

Never ever had a " bobtail' Marine or Ag engine of any make come with a drive plate or eqiv unless specified.

What did you do with your old 3QM30s..? Want to sell them..?
