Vacuum breaker update

In 2020 I asked if anyone could help me understand what to do about a vacuum breaker. I received great advice which I ignored. ( I arrogantly assumed that the engine was high enough.)

Fast forward to the summer of 2022 and you will find me in a remote area.
I started the engine and a bad knocking sound ensued. After a 5 day tow and sail.back to home port, I hid from sight for a couple of months. I removed the engine and dismantled it. I found a bent con rod.( typical)
I bought a rebuild kit on ebay and rebuilt the whole thing except the main bearings. ( only 1000 hours on it).

Obviously I installed a vacuum breaker. I will lead a small line to the cockpit drain. Have not started the engine yet. Only good thing about this whole debacle is that I am no longer afraid to rebuild an engine by myself.
