thermostat 4jh24 yanmar

I have a great running 4jh2e yanmar that I would like to carry a spare thermostat for the next time we head out......so I went to the local dealer and the price is 100 dollars for 1 thermostat.....I think this cant be right.......just wondering what the concensus is???

While I'm not familiar with the 4hj2e thermostat, I'm fairly confident that it isn't manufactured by Yanmar. Finding an after market item may be difficult but perhaps not impossible. Many just give in and open the wallet.

Perhaps try eBay, I note that especially in the UK, there seems to be after market Yanmar parts listed.
