I'm looking for a service manual for the Yanmar / Kanzaki KM35A-2 transmission.

That would have been too easy. The Kanzaki KM35A-2 is mentioned on the cover page. Already on the second page you can see that only the KM35P and KM5A are described with all the data. As long as I can't find a compatibility list that says which versions are compatible, it won't help me.

I'm looking for pages 3-59 to 3-86 of this manual.

What do you mean by "which versions are compatible"? The service manual wont tell you that anyway. Compatibility is determined by input splines and bell housing mounts. THe KM35A an P are the same Trans, just the A model has a down angle built into it by using a bevelled gear. the P is Parallel

Oops - it has been pointed out that my file is missing a bunch of pages in the middle, so doesn't have the information requested.

I obviously never read past the section on my transmission.

The parts manual gives this information regarding both the internal parts and housings as the transmission design is revised and often adapted to suit other models of Yanmar engines. I have a healthy respect for the “Parts interpreters” behind the counter, its not an easy job and they frequently point out where I’m mistaken in my parts orders.

Hi Brickwede, I don’t have a KM35A2 manual or parts book probably because they’re not all that common but maybe the engine workshop manual has a clutch repair chapter. Seemingly the only engines that SPECIFICALLY used the KM 35A2 were the 4JH5E, the 4JH45 and the 4JH57, and even then not all of the 4JH5E had em.
The KM35A gear was supplied with the 3JH5E and 3JH40
